Way finding – Creative – Signage – Graphics
The Communications Store commissioned Branch to design a set of office graphics and wayfinding signage for their new Kensington location. The brief was to communicate safe passage around the building in a creative and graphic way. Branch managed the job from brief, through to production and final installation, ensuring the design and layouts were effectively applied on time and within the allocated budget.
As part of the office livery, we created a series of patterns based on The Communications Store identity. The patterns and choice of colours were introduced throughout the glass partitions, allowing privacy without diminishing the open and fresh feel of the environment.
The icons allow for simple communication of key points around the office environment. These include relaxation areas, tea and coffee points, as well as cloak rooms and a fun take on bathroom signage. Our icons are styled in line with the friendly, clear approachable character of The Communications Store primary font, Brandon Grotesque, with it’s slightly curved edges and clean readable nature.
Our solution for the room names uses simple clear typography, punctuated by The Communications Store hexagon. Always placed at eye level and at a consistent, readable size, the navy blue room names are impactful and clearly aid navigation throughout the office.
The hexagonal styling and clean typography, inspired by The Communications Store logo, were used for the vinyl decal wayfinding. Our directional signage enhances the visibility throughout the building, which is negotiated regularly by The Communications Store staff, delivery couriers and clients.
